Lil Yachty has not been in the music game long, but is already a major player. At age 19 he has quickly climbed music charts, released a very successful debut album, and has guest verses on some of the biggest songs of the year including D.R.A.M.’s “Broccoli”. However, the most unique thing about the young artist is his obsession with all things nautical.
Aside from being named Lil Yachty, the Atlanta rapper titled his debut album “Lil Boat” and dubbed his entourage the “Sailing Team”. With such an affinity for the ocean and the vessels that navigate it, the Nautica association is a natural pairing. Check out the official Nautica announcement below:

Yachty’s interest in the fashion industry and his own modeling career have grown as fast as his musical career. Impressively, he has built a modeling portfolio including campaigns with Alexander Wang and Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3. His appointment as the 2017 Nautica Creative Designer comes after he modeled for the Nautica x Urban Outfitters line. Determined to be more than just a rapper, Lil Yachty is quickly blooming into a cultural icon on multiple fronts.
