Joey Bada$$ drops “Land of the Free”

The whole Pro Era team has been hard at work. CJ Fly‘s latest album, Fly Trap, has been getting a ton of love, Joey Bada$$ is looking at releasing an album (AABA) in the first three months of 2017, and Kirk Knight is gearing up to release a beat tape and a couple projects(AD). Their frontman, Joey Bada$$, just released his latest track called “Land of the Free”. Joey’s sound has undoubtedly progressed since his debut mixtape 1999. Sonically, Joey’s flow has became more gritty, and his rhyme scheme has become harder and more complex. “Land of the Free” tones down Joey’s grittiness for a track that reflects on the rough times America has been going through. He doesn’t sacrifice an incredible rhyme scheme for a meaningful message, which makes this one of Joey‘s best tracks to date. This is without a doubt one of hip hop’s biggest statements of the past year, and it is no coincidence it comes right before Donald Trump takes the presidential office.
