Dreamville’s newest member J.I.D releases “Never” video

J.I.D is an artist out of Atlanta and has just been added to the Dreamville roster. J.I.D reinforces the ranks of J Cole’s label that also includes the likes of Bas and Ari Lennox. J.I.D gained momentum as a member of the Atlanta/Baltimore collective Spillage Village. The young emcee has unique flow and cheeky word play. These qualities help the ATL product fit in with supreme writing talent of his label mates. Check out the official announcement from the Dreamville founder himself, as well as the recently debuted music video for “Never” below:

J.I.D shows the balance of trapping in the streets and coming home to family perfectly in the video. The vibe when J.I.D is in the streets is sketchy and sinister as he participates in the activities of his neighborhood. This is juxtaposed by the warm and welcoming environment of his home. J.I.D also provides his perspective on police brutality when he falls victim to it in the video. “Never” sets the bar high, and we look forward to see what more the young gun has to offer. In the meantime, watch the video for “Never” below:
