For the eighth year in a row, Maryland’s Logic has released a project. After last summer’s surprise mixtape Bobby Tarantino, fans have been heavily anticipating today’s album, Everybody. Over the past month or so the veteran emcee has teased the public with three singles, and two of those heavily centered around Logic‘s biraciality. Accordingly, much of Everybody also focuses around this topic.
As usual, Logic brings only good vibes to his album, and even features skits with world-renowned scientist Neal deGrasse Tyson. The album has 12 features, which is more than his last three projects combined. Some of the features include superstars like Alessia Cara and the young, buzzing singer Khalid. The most odd pairing of them all is probably Juicy J, as these two rappers come from two drastically different lanes in the rap game.
The album as a whole has an interesting mix of energetic upbeat moments, contrasted by some heartfelt somber ones. Everybody even puts politics under a microscope with “America”, which is a topic that is rarely discussed by the Def Jam emcee in his music.
The album is now available everywhere, check it out on Spotify above. Also, check out his music video for “Black Spiderman” if you haven’t yet.
