Lonzo Ball shows basketball isn’t his only talent with “Free Smoke” Remix

“ZO2 times DC. Worldwide shoutout Triple Bs. From the Mil to the IE. Jus got done wit a shopping spree. Hit the lot I had to cop the G. Diamond chain it match the Rollie.”

The rap game and basketball have always been somewhat intertwined. From Jay-Z on NBA 2K to Drake sitting court side at Toronto Raptor games, raps biggest names show that real recognizes real when it comes to talent. The respect for the craft goes both ways with stars like Portland Trailblazer Damian Lillard appearing on Sway In The Morning to show off his freestyle ability. The latest hooper to try his hand in the studio is Lonzo Ball, a player who many believe will be a top 3 pick in this year’s NBA Draft decided to remix Drake’s “Free Smoke” with DC The Don under his alias ZO2. The UCLA point guard and previous nationally lauded high school player of the year has shown he can rap before, but decided to take his talents to the studio this time and drop a written verse.

Although he hasn’t signed to an NBA team yet, with so much hype from his father LaVar Ball and his recently $495 priced shoes, Lonzo has quite a bright future even if this whole basketball thing doesn’t work out. Check out the remix to “Free Smoke” above along with another freestyle he dropped a few months ago below (Peep his younger brother LaMelo Ball showing off his impressive shoe collection in the background).
