Vince Staples drops video “Big Fish” from upcoming album

Vince Staples confirmed recently with an interview with Zane Lowe that his long awaited album Big Fish Theory will drop June 23, 2017. Staples hasn’t released a full length album in almost two years, but decided it was time to give his fans a peak of what June 23 has in store. Yesterday he dropped visuals for his single “Big Fish” with Juicy J. The video showcases Staples spitting bars in a steadily sinking ship surrounded by several blood thirsty sharks while he rhymes about violence and other brutalities. Staples has always rapped about his own life and the struggles he’s faced, but one thing that fans have already begun to applaud is the diversified rhyme flow on this track. The production and lyricism all are reminiscent of his 2015 album Summertime ’06 while still keeping up with the true authenticity fans loved about the 2016 EP Prima Donna. The wavy feel and smooth flows certainly contribute, and with Vince sounding like his old self while looking like a new man with the fade, we expect Big Fish Theory to be one of the summer’s hottest albums. Check out the video for “Big Fish” above and stay tuned for his album coming out June 23.
