Amine releases long-awaited ‘Good For You’ album

After his smash hit single “Caroline” exploding and going double platinum, 2017 was a year of big expectations for Portland native Aminé. Yesterday he released his debut album, Good For You, through Republic Records. Although he has released multiple projects in the past, this was his first official studio album and allowed him to get some other big name artists to feature on this project. Good For You includes appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani, Nelly, Offset, and Charlie Wilson. If you liked the upbeat and colorful attitude of “Caroline”, Good For You includes a lot of that.

Aminé’s ability to take what worked so well on “Caroline” and seamlessly create a whole album, while still ensuring that each song maintains it’s own persona is why Good For You is such an innovative project. He is able to keep each track light and grooving while still diving deeper into various topics. Tracks like “Money,” “Hero,” and “Dakota” are not only bangers but also allow us to see Aminé‘s growth as an artist and person. With a great a project like Good For You, Aminé can expect the respect he deserves.
