Lute releases ‘West 1996 Pt. 2’

There is no slowing down for Dreamville. Charlotte rapper Lute, released his debut album West 1996 Pt. 2, a sequel to his previous mixtape. The project was originally intended to be released as a free mixtape back in 2014 until a call from J. Cole suggested otherwise. Lute signed to Dreamville Records in 2015. After several delays due to sample clearances and other issues, the highly anticipated project is finally here. The album is filled with gritty lyricism over soulful hip hop beats produced by Save Allen, Shiggy, Cam O’bi and even the legendary J Dilla. Check it out above.
